Kartoffelhaus in Goettingen

The most important: There was potato pancake burger to eat. Food was very greasy. The burger was floating in cocktail sauce. The hack or the patty was not fresh but Tk goods! The remaining components were OK. but nothing great either. Overall, I was very disappointed as the restaurant was rated so well. I promised myself more. The bill, however, was steep. Price performance was not satisfactory considering the quality of the food. Service was good and attentive. Location good. Setup still ok

Because of the current situation, my wife and I often order something from the potato house. The food always arrives on time and hot and was always great. It stands out from other restaurants. The potato burger is always worth a recommendation. Only the fries could be a bit salted. But that's not a criticism.

Ordered via Lieferando at the potato house, at first it was said that it would take 1 1/2 hours until the food was delivered. Actual arrival time around 20:40. After 2 hours there was still nothing, then called to find out that our food was still there, we were assured that it would be 21:15. At 9:30 p.m. still no trace of the food. Called again and pushed straight away, called with a different number and answered directly. Took out a Coke as compensation that we didn't receive. Food arrived cold after almost 3 hours and sometimes still very slightly warm. The food was not tasty, service and delivery were poor .. And for something you then put down € 60 .. We will not order there anymore ..

Don't be fooled by the name. It's a really nice restaurant. We enjoyed our food, but I wouldn't recommend the Potato burger, as the patties are also potato fritters. It was quite cumbersome to eat. But the service, selection and ambiance was great. I see myself going here again in the near future.

Restaurant right in the center. Unfortunately the service was completely overwhelmed, so we had to wait 40 minutes before we could order the food and then another 60 minutes until the food came. The food was very tasty and unusual. There are many varieties of potatoes here that I have never seen or eaten before.

Easy to get to, great atmosphere. Service very friendly and courteous. Dishes delicious and well presented and great value for money. There were two of us and got a place without a reservation. We were extremely satisfied and can only recommend the Kartoffelhaus, our experience was definitely positive.

Delicious food, but our salad was forgotten, but that can happen :) Still nice staff, very recommendable. There is also a lot of vegetarian and vegan selection, definitely a plus!

Food is good, but that's it. We had frozen fries, but the citizens were tasty. SORRY, we had to use the delivery service as NO DOGS are allowed in the restaurant and we were too cold to sit outside. We'd also have to pay cash because they didn't have any card devices with them.

Super delicious food, friendly service, prices are always great

The restaurant had a comfortable atmosphere, the workers were friendly and the food was good. The breads were really fresh, the pancakes and eggs tasted quite good and the variate of food was good. Just the mini sausages that didn't taste that good. Apart from this, all the rest good plus points. The bathroom was really clean. Even on the week they only open at 9:30, we came from far away and wanted to have a nice breakfast, but had to wait for it to be open. For the price, we think it is worth it.

The food was good, no question about it. But waiting over 2 hours for it is just too long and annoying!

The food here was excellent. There are a lot of potato dishes but also others. The waitress was extremely friendly and provided top service. The prices are also very good (baked potato with shrimp and a drink was € 12.5). I would love to come back here.

For years, the Kartoffelhaus has been THE restaurant in Göttingen for me! You can get very tasty and original potato dishes at fair prices and the staff are always very friendly. The breakfast buffet is simply legendary.

We went to the Kartoffelhaus for the second time yesterday and it was excellent. Very nice, hard-working staff and very tasty food. We'll be back and can definitely recommend the Kartoffelhaus.

Large selection of vegan & vegetarian dishes. Nice atmosphere in the pub & beer garden, as well as very friendly service. The food was also very tasty, the price was absolutely reasonable. Overall, really highly recommended.

Good food, well situated, nice terrace in summer. You can also simply enjoy a beer on the terrace. They have a decent variety, not just the typical raddler, pils, weizen beer offer you see in all restaurants.

Sunday spontaneously wanted a place in Göttingen around 3pm. Not so easy at the time, but here we found one with hot food around the time. Was well attended, but we got a place for three people. Service was quick at the table and took up our drink requests. For the meal I chose the Holsteiner schnitzel. A pork cutlet with two fried eggs, fried potatoes and a side salad. The quality of the meat was not bad. The salad was delicious. The fried potatoes with bacon and onions were okay too. For € 13.90 you can't go wrong. My company was also satisfied. The toilet is in the upper part of the restaurant and there is also a small basket with various drugstore items. It was also clean for the naked eye. Overall impression was good.

Amazing place! Super good choice of mains and very kind personnel. Be back hopefully!

The food was overcooked. The grill teller was just a bunch of cooked to death meat. The service didn't even bother. We could've easily had another 2 drinks if we didn't have to wait for a waiter. Overall I do not recommend this place.

The potato burger is a must try item. Most of the food in general is very good. The place is nice and cozy. Quite popular within the locals. The also have outside sitting option. The employees are very nice and helpful.
